Presentation to business students at the University of Sydney
Fun to talk to business students at the University of Sydney’s business school twice this week about my business journey, how marketing has evolved and their personal brands.
It’s one of my passions helping young graduates understand what the real world of work is like and help them get their foot in the door. We have mentored nearly a thousand young people over the last 21 years and we are always looking out for new interns to take part in our 3 month TaurusFastTrack™ Program during their studies. Our aim with the Taurus intern program is to provide students with real-life work experience to increase their chances of employment. Successful applicants get first hand visibility on what its like running a business, entrepreneurship, operations, PR, digital, process, social media and marketing in a warm, no nonsense culture founded on the highest standards.
The ultimate goal of our TaurusFastTrack™ Intern Program is to find interns who prove too valuable to let go and then progress into our 24 month TaurusFastTrack™ Graduate Training Program.

Carl’s event held on International Women’s Day at PWC, Barangaroo was to launch his new sales meeting service Meetmagic, a B2B platform combining business and philanthropy. The concept involves booking sales meetings through a digital platform which matches supplier to prospect and a fee is charged per meeting and 50 per cent of that payment is donated to a charity of their choosing.
“We think, with enough corporate support to pay a fee to charities for business meetings that occur in the workforce every single day, we can aid philanthropy in Australia. Our goal is to donate $250m to charities by 2026”.
MeetMagics mission is as follows, “Our purpose is single-minded: To inspire a world of meaningful human connections that simultaneously empowers organisational growth and social change by creating conversations that count. By repurposing an organisation’s existing marketing budget, we connect the right people at the right time and create a sustainable funding source for charities who are changing the world.”
